The 2021 T20 World Cup is currently underway in the UAE and Oman. The ICC event began with Round 1 matches, from which teams will qualify for the Super 12 round. There are four teams each in the two Round 1 groups. Further eight sides - India, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, England, West Indies and Afghanistan - have qualified directly for the Super 12 stage. They will be joined by four more teams from Round 1 to complete the 12 teams. Some big stars of international cricket will be featuring in the 2021 T20 World Cup. In his feature, we take a look at the leading T20I wicket-taker of each team that has qualified directly for the Super 12 round.

NEW ZEALAND - TIM SOUTHEE

Pace bowler Tim Southee is the leading New Zealand wicket-taker among players from the country who are taking part in this year’s T20 World Cup. Southee is one short of 100 T20I scalps. He has claimed 99 wickets in 83 matches at a strike rate of 18 and an economy rate of 8.39. Southee has a best of 5 for 18, which was registered against Pakistan in Auckland in 2010. He claimed a hat-trick as well as New Zealand restricted Pakistan to 143 for 9 and won the game by five wickets. The pacer has 14 wickets from 10 T20 World Cup matches at a strike rate of 15.
