Christopher Jullien tucked away the winner, then applauded as Fraser Forster saved the day

CHRISTOPHER Jullien heaped praise on Fraser Forster for his incredible contribution in Celtic’s win over Lazio as he credited ‘the wall’ for protecting the most cherished goal of his career.
Jullien emerged as the goal hero in Celtic’s 2-1 win over Lazio at Paradise in the Europa League, but the Frenchman’s goal was almost cancelled out in the dying seconds of the game.
The Italian side flooded forward in search of an equaliser after Jullien gave Celtic a well-deserved lead minutes from the end, and they almost got it but for Forster.
With less than 20 seconds of added time remaining in the game, Danilo Cataldi latched on to a clearance and struck a thunderous volley from 20 yards that was hurtling towards the top corner. Forster reacted in a flash to dive across his goal to make a world-class save.
Jullien turned the spotlight on Forster after the game and said the Hoops stopper’s contribution in the game was invaluable.
“He came to me afterwards and said what a header, but I told him my header would have been meaningless if he hadn’t done such an excellent job,” said Jullien. “He did his job perfectly and has been incredible since he arrived.
