The Celts on international duty
-

A TOTAL of 14 Celts were off representing their countries during the international break over the past week in the latest round of fixtures in the UEFA Nations League.
Scotland’s game against Israel at Hampden included six Celtic players with Hatem Elhamed and Nir Bitton facing off against their Celtic team-mates Ryan Christie, James Forrest, Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor, who was an unused substitute.
Christie put Scotland ahead just before the break with a well-taken penalty. Israel played well in the second half and Eran Zahavi scored an equaliser after some slick interplay with Munas Dabbur, who Celtic fans may remember from his exploits with Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League during the 2018/19 season.
