ANJA DIABATÉ - VISION

My series Vision stands for the development of our being.

ANJA DIABATÉ - VISION

The desire for complete freedom in love and respect. I favor us constantly reinventing ourselves and acting out this, multi-faceted, colorful, and self-determined. Art is free and makes the invisible visible, the total fulfillment.

My photographic version stands for the freedom of art. It marks my work. Through this, fantasies arise, which are spread out and become part of the story. Art is free. This also means that I don't block myself, to give me full freedom to express myself through my art. I love what I am doing, and it gives me a lot of satisfaction.

Feelings are the key to my photography work. No matter which feeling, if one is involved, the picture turns to life. It touches, and probably it makes the viewers think about it. The face is so full of facets, body language, expression of a silent language, and they both have massive power and an effect of expressing deepest feelings.

The possibility of telling stories, presenting topics that concern me, and highlighting them is significant. To put all this in series and in an artistic framework is the pinnacle of creation for me.

BUTTERFLIES IN LOVE WITH FLOWERS

I sometimes think Chinese art is not fully appreciated in the West. I was exposed to it growing up in Australia, although my fascination was more with calligraphy.

In a remote area of western Wisconsin, dogs and cats who otherwise would have ended up on death row are given a reprieve. They can now live out their lives in peace and comfort and with companionship at Home for Life (HFL), which was not afforded them outside the sanctuary's gates.
