Quality of care, result-oriented outcomes are at the heart of ₹2,857-cr. initiative

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami launched the Tamil Nadu Health System Reform Programme (TNHSRP) in Chennai on Tuesday. It will be implemented with financial support from the World Bank.
The initiative aims to achieve result-oriented outcomes in healthcare delivery and, over a five-year period, improve the quality of care, strengthen the management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and injuries and reduce the inequities in reproductive and child health services in the State. The total cost of the programme is ₹2,857 crore, of which ₹1,999 crore will be provided by the World Bank.
