PC Turns 74, Meets Son Karti, Kin Inside Tihar

FORMER finance minister P Chidambaram met his son Karti Chidambaram and other relatives inside Tihar jail on his 74th birthday on Monday.
Karti, who wrote a two-page letter to his father, went to meet him in the morning along with his uncle and mother's brother.
“We wished him for his birthday. He is in good spirits,” Karti told India Today TV.
The former finance minister also asked Karti to tweet his message which read, “My thoughts today are about the economy. Just one statistic tells the story. Export growth in August was 6.05%. No country has achieved GDP growth of 8% without exports growing at 20% a year. May God bless this country.”
