Restaurants, multiplexes, malls to remain open in city 24x7 from January 27
Come January 27 and there will be many malls and multiplexes along with eateries and restaurants in Mumbai, Maharashtra that will remain open 24x7.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Mumbai Police have granted permission to more than 20 such establishments that can now remain open throughout.
The state government held a meeting on Thursday to provide a stamp of authority on the proposal.
Aditya Thackeray, now a cabinet minister, along with BMC commissioner and Mumbai Police commissioner was present in the meeting. Various representatives of mall, multiplexes and restaurants were also present in the meeting.
It is learnt that more than 20 such establishments that showed interest and fulfilled the criteria set have been granted permission to remain open 24x7.
