CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN has been recalled to the Denmark squad for the first time since suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.

- ALEX RICHARDS

The midfielder, whose collapse occurred in the match against Finland in Copenhagen last June, has not played for his country since the incident, which saw him undergo lifesaving surgery treatment.

But Eriksen was yesterday named in the 23-man squad for Denmark's friendlies against Holland and Serbia following his impressive return to action with Brentford in the Premier League.
