Parc Y Scarlets last weekend I had a chat to John Barclay the former Scarlets and Scotland flanker.
He merely underlined the harsh reality that had unfolded over the 80 minutes of dismal rugby we had both witnessed a little while before. As he said, that never happened in his day... or mine! It is a short stop from being bullied to become easy-beats.
And if we don’t turn up and battle at every breakdown, double-team on every tackle and try to match Ireland’s physicality then I fear it could be an even more miserable evening in Dublin this week.
Put simply, if we play against the Irish like we did against the Scots we’ll be in danger of losing by 30 points.
