HARTLEPOOL UNITED V BROMLEY

- David Richardson

WE JUST KEEP MARCHING ON

BROMLEY just keeps surprising manager Andy Woodman – they even smashed his play-offs points target!

The Raven's boss has overseen just one defeat in his 13 games in charge which culminated in securing seventh place last weekend.

They claimed victories at FC Halifax Town and Chesterfield plus decent draws on the road at Torquay United and Stockport County while beating Notts County and Hartlepool on home soil.

Bromley’s run-in has been grueling but they’ve come through each test – even outdoing the expectations of Woodman.

“It’s a good job the lads never listen to me – I thought 64 points would be enough when I first came through the door!” laughed Woodman. “But if I’d have told the lads we’ve got to hit 69 points they’d have thought I was crackers. To get 28 points out of 13 games they’d have thought there’s no chance, even me deep down would have thought there’s no chance.
