Mason-Clark arrived at the far post to head home the unlikely leveller from Harry Taylor’s cross, ensuring Woking winless run stretched to a ninth match.

Goals at the start of each half from centre-back Ben Gerring and Mark Shelton looked like earning Alan Dowson’s men the points, only for Mauro Vilhete’s to halve the deficit and set up a thrilling finale.

“I cannot fault the effort of the lads today, I thought we really worked our socks off,” Dowson said. “It was a good performance, but obviously it is disappointing to concede two goals from two balls into the box.
