Midfielder Jordan Young celebrated his 22nd birthday in style by reminding Coventry City what they are missing by scoring two first-half goals in a convincing 4-1 friendly victory.

Young, who spent time on loan at Gloucester from the Sky Blues last term and has since signed full-time, helped put a Coventry XI to the sword. Danny King and a trialist also netted.

Chelsea’s youngsters were also given a rude shock as Woking launched the comeback of the day.

Trailing 3-0 at the break, the hosts were given hope by Moussa Diarra and Tahvon Campbell before Josh Casey was felled and Max Kretzschmar smashed in the penalty.

Striker Inih Effiong completed a remarkable Woking revival with the winner eight minutes from time.
