December 23, 2019

I am Yoji Taguchi, the president of Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII).

Vibrant Partners At Global Level

This is my second assignment in India, in which period I am honored and grateful to welcome Prime Minister Abe to India on behalf of JCCII.

Members of Japanese companies promoted to India are increasing year by year, and as of November 2019, it is almost 1500. The latest survey of Japanese Government institution shows India is the first ranking country as a promising medium-term investment. India is attracting attention of all industries in terms of market growth potential and market size. I am happy to hear that Japanese industry is looking towards Indian as business partners.

The Labour of Historical Fiction

I don’t know if I can pinpoint when the idea to write fiction took root in my mind, but five years into working as an oral historian of the 1947 Partition, the landscape of what would become my first novel had grown too insistent to ignore.
