Japanese Perfection Meets Indian Passion

With the enhanced involvement of Nippon Life Insurance now, investors of Nippon India Mutual Fund can look forward to benefit in many ways
-

Partnering with India’s growth story, there has been steadily increasing Japanese influence in the lives of Indians over the years. Starting with Maruti Suzuki in the mid-80s and Japanese electronics brands in the late 80s followed by Japanese auto majors in the later years, it was only a matter of time before a major Japanese forayed into evolving Indian financial services sector. Nippon Life Insurance (NLI), a 130-year-old Japanese financial services giant which also ranks 126th among Fortune 500 companies, took a stake in the asset management company (erstwhile Reliance Mutual Fund), one of India’s top mutual funds in 2012.
The significance of the development can be judged by NLI’s stature in Japan and the world. NLI is the largest private Life Insurance company in Japan, with a mammoth workforce of more than 70,000 employees, serving around 11 million customers worldwide. NLI is present in four continents of Asia, North America, Europe and Australia. As of March 31, 2018, the company has a revenue of $70 billion, profit of $ 5.1 billion and asset size of $700 billion.
