SRCC’s future-oriented courses and its own standing as a national resource centre speak of its pedigree
Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, commenced education in the field of commerce in 1920. With over 90 years of an ever-evolving existence, the college excels in knowledge, application, ethics, and society-oriented delivery in the discipline of commerce. The pedagogy is rooted in traditional values paired with innovative techniques—methods that focus on instilling a deep sense of conceptual clarity and curiosity for life-long learning in students. Thorough mentoring, add-on courses, internships, and academic research are the nubs of pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) at SRCC.
Using the usual modes of chalk and talk for classroom lectures, personalized (one-to-one) tutorials as well as participative learning, SRCC is renowned for easing out difficult theoretical concepts by conducting regular presentations, webinars, field visits and industry-interface for students. Their method can be summed up in three words, ‘vaad, vivaad and samvaad ’, as they encourage dialogue, debate and discussion in classrooms to ensure two-way communication between students and teachers.

A BCom aspirant must be a critical thinker and sharp learner to thrive in the course. The institution stresses on gaining knowledge, applying multi-level concepts to draw effective financial and business strategies. Students can publish research in-house through an exacting academic mentoring process, as well as avail funding to present their research at various national and international forums. With this, they are taught to become risk-takers and pushed to channel their entrepreneurial and creative energies.
