Hail The Champions Of Digital Travel!

Indian travellers have emerged as the most digitally advanced in the world, in terms of using digital tools for travel purposes. That is the finding of a survey by Travelport.

Guess which country’s fliers are the most tech-savvy? It is India. Our fliers have beaten the likes of China and even those from the United States and Britain. That is what a recent Travelport (a Travel Commerce Platform that provides solutions for the travel and tourism industry) study claims.

Rabih Saab, Travelport’s President and Managing Director for Europe, Middle East, Africa and South Asia put it rather succinctly: “The finding of the survey that demonstrates the significance of digital tools for Indian travellers is frankly unsurprising for those of us who have been following the digital market here for some time.” The results of the ‘Global Traveller Survey’ have crowned Indian travellers as the most digitally-advanced outpacing the world’s leading travel markets like United States, Japan, Brazil and Russia. Incidentally, neighbouring China was at the second place while Indonesia was at No 3.
