He never had to change his full name for immigration purposes. He started playing the saxophone over forty years ago, but he made his recording debut in 2016 and the annual Gospel Choice Awards nominated him for his single, ‘Gospel Got Jazz’. “My father, my current percussionist, was my mentor and tutor in my passion for the sax.” Young Nightingale honed his craft artistically from there while playing at different jazz venues in his native country. He arrived to the United States in 1996, first living in New York City for several months where he met his soulmate. He later relocated to the music capital of Nashville, where he stayed for nine years. He finally settled in Atlanta and reconnected with the w
