OPENING ARGUMENTS
Defence Traditionally, exercise repetitions are completed in a continuous manner during each set. Momentary muscular failure generally signals the end of the set. The inclusion of interset rest periods is known as “cluster training” and is an effective way to increase the number of reps that can be completed during a set before momentary muscular failure occurs. Additionally, it allows more weight to be used for a given number of reps. The use of more weight should produce a more potent strength stimulus.
