Cricketer Yuvraj Singh feels fashion can be a formidable weapon of change.

Yuvraj Singh, the poster boy of Indian cricket team, is a survivor. After his battle with cancer,he made a brilliant comeback. His fashion brand, YouWeCan, is an extension of his fight. Excerpts from an interview with him:

What is your signature style?

I feel comfort comes before anything and my style is about being comfortable. I feel one should be comfortable in their own skin. But to be comfortable, you have to be confident. The best thing about athleisure is that it fits perfectly in every mood and personality.

What are the things you keep in mind when buying clothes?

I don’t usually follow a rulebook. I have a casual approach when it comes to dressing up. My style resonates with anything that compliments my body. A great fit and good fabric is enough to convince me to buy an item. I prioritise comfort over everything else.

How has been the journey of your fashion brand?

It has been satisfying. The YouWeCan initiative definitely came into existence due to my personal experiences. If we look at YWC, the venture started as a way to support the foundation. Parts of the revenue generated from the brand YWC goes to the welfare of the YouWeCan foundation. Through the brand, we’re looking at bringing a change in the society and allowing every individual investing into the brand to be associated with a cause bigger than just the fashion label.
