01 PANERAI LUMINOR DUE LUNA
Now that Panerai and its fans have become accustomed to the idea of a dressy, feminine Luminor, thanks to the introduction of the 38mm Luminor Due models, it was just a matter of time before a moon phase — arguably the most popular complication in ladies’ timepieces — entered the collection.
The four variants, comprising three references in stainless steel and one in Goldtech (the brand’s rosy, unfading red gold alloy), feature a moon phase display at 3 o’clock mirrored by a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock.
The ones in steel use the familiar sandwich dial construction in blue or white with lumed indices to match the colour of the moon, while the more luxurious Goldtech model shimmers with a mother-of-pearl dial and applied numerals and hour markers.
