THE FIRST ENCOUNTER

Matthew and I met while we were both in college at Georgia Tech. We were both out on a weekly bar night infamously known as “ Welfare Wednesday!” The night ended up with Matthew somehow snagging my number and asking me out! Matthew had an elaborate proposal planned in a helicopter ride over the city. However, as we were sitting there waiting it was cancelled due to rain. So, Matthew turns to me and says, “we are going to laugh about this later.” Then he pulls out the ring and proposed. He was so distraught about the plans falling through that he forgot to put the ring on my finger, he just handed it to me.
