Seated 2000 metres above sea level amidst the majestic Hajjar Mountains in a breathtakingly beautiful set up are a group of journalists. The ambience is soothing, surreal and classy. We are at Alila in Jebel Akhdar for the launch of Figment, Amouage’s new fragrance. And the setting couldn’t be any more fitting. For, one does wonder, if this is in Arabia or a figment of one’s imagination?
After a specially crafted dinner, inspired by the new fragrance, we head over to Creative Director, Christopher Chong’s villa where the unveiling of the fragrance is set to take place. There is a nip in the air, yet the excitement is palpable amongst all of us. We are only moments away from being introduced to Figment in one of the most pristine locations in Oman.
