The Holland Holiday

|November-December 2017
As NBTC promotes destination Holland in India, the Global Travel Trade Manager of NBTC Holland Marketing, Carola Muller-Van Rijn, talks about brand Holland and what is in store for Indian tourists
What are the steps taken by NBTC to amplify Holland as a preferred destination among Indian travellers?
NBTC amplifies tourism to Holland by reaching out to travel trade partners and end consumers. Several promotional activities are undertaken through the year, across mediums, to endorse Holland as a year-round destination for Indian travellers. Recently, NBTC Holland Marketing, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Jet Airways hosted a three-city ‘Sales Mission’ in India to promote the destination. This included representation from several partners from the Netherlands. This provided a great platform for destination, attractions, DMC and airlines to meet and transact business with key Indian travel and trade partners.
Can you tell us about the number of Indian tourists visiting Holland in recent years?
A total of 1,27,000 Indians chose to visit the country in 2016. In 2017, 16% growth in Indian arrivals to the Netherlands is expected.
What is the idea behind the HollandCity campaign?
