ASK FREDERICK TSAO, founder of Sangha Retreat by Octave Institute - a state-of-the-art wellness resort blending Eastern traditional practices with Western science what wellness entails and you're unlikely to get a typical feelgood response. Tsao, who is also chairman of the Singapore-headquartered investment holding company IMC Group, says that being well begins with recognizing the extent to which the world around you is not – the depletion of Earth's natural resources, climate change, breakdowns in social structures and so forth. “Well-being refers to an entire system that is congruent and coherent,” he reflects. "I cannot be well until the whole system is well. Love is holistic. It is not enough to just eat right and sleep right."
