Hands-on using the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
In July of this year, Samsung boldly entered the arena of oversized tablets with the release of the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and the behemoth I'm using here, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. All three siblings share the potent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and boast similar hardware specifications, differing primarily in display size, battery capacities, memory, and storage.
EMBRACING THE 'BIGGER IS BETTER' PHILOSOPHY Samsung, a firm believer in the adage "bigger is better," has demonstrated this conviction here. Upon first encountering the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, the sheer size proved to be a revelation.
While the size of the 14.6-inch display had been known, the actual sight and heft of the tablet was surprising, overshadowing even Apple's substantial 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile. Platform for Galaxy, my review unit boasted 12GB of RAM and a generous 256GB of storage. The 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel offered a dazzling resolution of 2,960 x 1,848 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 60Hz to 120Hz. Additional features like HDR10+, Vision booster, and Eye comfort contributed to an immersive display experience.

The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra packs a punch in multimedia features. Retaining the storage expansion capability via a microSD card slot, the tablet can accommodate up to 1TB extra storage. Notably, the 20% larger quadstereo speakers with Sound by AKG and Dolby Atmos support enhance the audiovisual delight.

SO SMALL, SO CUTE. HAIYOOO...
As giant triple-slot GPUs dominate the market, Gigabyte's RTX 5060 OC Low Profile stands out as a rare compact option that delivers full-sized performance. It fits small-form-factor builds, matches larger cards in most games, and sips power - with higher thermals the only real trade-off.

SMALL WRIST, BIG DISPLAY
In my previous review of the Pixel Watch 3, I expounded on why 45mm was the perfect size for Google's smartwatch. Naturally, when the Pixel Watch 4 was announced, Google sent me the 41mm version instead. And guess what? I've grown to love it.

A RETURN TO FORM
After the catastrophe of Battlefield 2042, expectations for EA and DICE's next entry couldn't have been lower. But Battlefield 6 is a grounded, stable, and gloriously chaotic return to form that reminds players why they fell in love with the series in the first place.

CHAOS, BUT FINALLY FUN AGAIN
Borderlands 4 shouldn't have won me over-but it did. Gearbox's latest entry dials back the noise, sharpens the chaos, and rekindles the fun at the series' core, delivering a leaner, faster, surprisingly addictive return to form.

STILL GREAT, BUT SMALL UPGRADES
Apple's new Watch lineup – the Ultra 3, Series 11, and SE 3 – looks exciting at first glance, but most of the upgrades are incremental. For recent owners, it's a year of refinement rather than reinvention.
