Any Makeup Fanatic Would’ve Heard About This Beauty Brand, Whose Online Success Today Is Off The Charts. Sarah Hani Jamil Learns More About The Beauty And Brow Business Straight From The Founder Of Anastasia Beverly Hills Herself.
It’s not every day that a global beauty icon, especially one who’s as legit as Anastasia Soare comes to this side of the world. So when she does, I leap at the chance to meet her face to face. I first heard about the brand years ago from one of the many YouTube tutorials that are out there and finally got the chance to try its products in 2016 when I made my first trip to the USA. Since then, I’ve made it a point to buy something from the brand whenever I go back, because trust me, it is that good!
It was 8am on a Thursday morning and we were gathered at LAVO Italian Restaurant and Rooftop Bar on the top deck of Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. It wasn’t long before Anastasia walked in wearing a sparkly white sequinned jacket and a lime green skirt. Her long blonde hair was styled in effortless loose waves and she had white flower resin earrings on. In that instant, she said hello to all of us and her warm and friendly energy just emanated across the room. Although the brand has been around for a while, it is very new to the Malaysian market.
Here’s a quick background on it if you’re new to the brand: Back in the ’90s, Romanian-born Anastasia Soare immigrated to Beverly Hills and got a job as an aesthetician. Convinced that the brows were the key to a facial transformation, she later on decided to quit her job at that time to operate a business out of a rented room, slowly building her empire from the ground up.
