Scott Brown praises team-mates after title-winning performance

- Mark Henderson

Perfect Day At Paradise

CAPTAIN Scott Brown hailed Celtic’s togetherness and hunger after they ran riot against Rangers in Paradise to seal seven-in-a-row in sensational style.

The Hoops had failed in their first chance to clinch the title the previous weekend away to Hibernian but they made no mistake on Sunday, crossing the finishing line with stunning 5-0 shellacking of their city rivals.

In an utterly dominant display, Brendan Rodgers’ side ruthlessly swept the Ibrox club aside with a brace from Odsonne Edouard and goals from James Forrest, Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor.

Brown has skippered the club to all of the seven successive championships and he told the View that it had been a special day for him and the rest of the squad.

“It just shows I’m getting on now,” said the 32-year-old in an exclusive interview, “but it’s brilliant to be here and winning trophies. When I first signed, it’s what I wanted and we’re still managing to do that now.

“We did it in style. Last week we let ourselves down a wee bit so we wanted to show everyone how good we were, in front of our fans, while playing on the good pitch helped as well.
