However, the thoughts lodged in our head, and the process of solidifying it through words are two very different things. If we penned them down exactly the way it occurred to us, we’d have an incoherent jumble of words. Writing brings out the fallacies in our thoughts. Then begins the process of filling in the gaps. We begin to think a little harder of what they could hold, and soon enough we are confronted with questions. It is this that sometimes lends writing an adversarial character. It has, in my case.

A lot of my thoughts materialise because of the photographs I’ve made, and never the other way around. Then again, who’s to say what comes first, or what gets us to photograph in the first place. We cannot simply pin it down to our instincts because being instinctive implies a natural tendency to gravitate towards something specific. And this tendency comes from what and how we feel in that phase of our existence.
