The architects managed to produce a building that, while highly contemporary, sits very comfortably in its historical setting. The modern barn-like building typology is sympathetic to the older pitched roof structures in the area; while the separation of the barns and introduction of courtyards in between assists in reducing the scale of the building in an otherwise finer-grained setting.
