Richard O’Gorman’s two bedroom, terraced house in Birmingham with bold colour choices and playful patterns makes your heart sing

It’s a mad, mad world in here. One that’s wildly imaginative, exceptionally cheerful but never overbearing. You will find a mix of modern silhouettes and classic pieces. The Birmingham-based, 30 year old, interior stylist definitely loves colour and is no stranger to patterns either.

From the minute you step in, you have a feeling that his home is that place where no one else is dictating any terms, it’s truly his own. Having graduated in Economics and “hating every second of it,” Richard tried his hand at visual merchandising before handling bookings for a modelling agency. Always curious and interested in interior design, “I had truly never picked up a paintbrush until I bought this house,” he reveals.
