Sarah Boland owner of vegan burger bar V-Face reveals her favourite places in Ireland's capital city.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF.
I own V-Face, Dublin's first vegan burger bar, which opened it's first restaurant during the initial lockdown in 2020. With a degree in Visual Communications, I had been working in branding and graphic design before venturing into the very different world of hospitality. V-Face started out as a pop-up food truck in a bar in Stoneybatter, before moving to Dundrum Town Centre. We are due to open our second restaurant in Ranelagh this year.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN DUBLIN?
I have been back home in Ireland for five years. I am originally from Meath, but when I came home I felt that there were more job opportunities in Dublin and I do prefer the buzz of city life.

HOW DOES DUBLIN COMPARE TO OTHER PLACES YOU HAVE LIVED IN?
I lived in Dubai previously for four years and London for four years before that. Dublin feels like home - the familiar friendly tone of the chat on the streets, the craic in the pubs, the kind nature of the people - going above and beyond to help. What you see is what you get people in their rawest, purest forms. For me Dublin is also a place of opportunity as this is where I will grow my business.
