Can you tell us about the property?

Newly built, using traditional coastal materials such as coursed flint and chalk, this five-bedroom family home is in a wonderful setting looking out across the North Norfolk marshes to the sea beyond. The open-plan kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and a wall of glazed doors opening onto a sunny courtyard.

What was your brief?

Natural materials and textures, which subtly echo the surrounding coastal landscape, were key to the design. The clients also requested that all the appliances be built in or, ideally, completely hidden from view to keep the look of the room calm and uncluttered.
