Over the course of the past few weeks, mankind as a whole has been put through terribly testing times.

A miniscule marauder that has forced us to take shelter within the four walls of our homes, though largely a bane than a boon, the pandemic in retrospect has provided an opportunity for most of us to contemplate upon our perspectives of success and happiness. It has paved way to reform ourselves and embrace better models of life that celebrate sustainability. The days of quarantine has prompted introspection on the need for an antidote to today’s rushed competitive and materialistic lifestyle.

D6THD DESIGN STUDIO

An Ahmedabad based practice headed by architect Himanshu Patel is an innovative design studio that strives to explore the intricacies of designing spaces that bring happiness to its users. They design to let you feel good. Their philosophy being – “a ny object or space can be measure in 3 Dimension but to feel good about it is the 6th dimension”

d6thD promotes the use of locally available materials, traditional building techniques, culturally and climatically relevant building design. They are passionate about design but driven by ideas rather than personalities. They are interested in exploring the ways in which spaces can create experiential happiness.

d6thD visualizes the practice as a sheltered and collaborative place for reflection, where a community (including clients and other collaborators) can reflect on how to make life happy and feel good through architecture.
