Better Interiors
|October 2016
Interior designers Pratik Siddhpura and Devang Patel’s clear vision and honest design ethos helps transform a bungalow from a builder-grade shell to a contemporary and spacious dream home for a family in Ankleshwar, Gujarat.

A house may be made of brick, beams and mortar, but more importantly, it is a sanctuary and a manifestation of one’s dreams and desire to live in harmony. It was with the hope that the latter would be ably realized that the client in question put the destiny of his dream home in the hands of the talented interior designers Pratik Siddhpura and Devang Patel of Bharuch-based P&D Associates.
The client had bought a two-storeyed bungalow for his family (comprising his parents, wife and two daughters) in a residential area in Ankleshwar, Gujarat and was on the lookout for a design team who could convert the bare, impersonal space into a warm, inviting and spacious home. He chanced upon the firm’s website and liking what he saw, entrusted the duo with full autonomy on all design- related decisions. “They were concerned about the site's ability to accommodate requirements such as bedrooms with various privacy levels, spacious utilities and open circulation,” informs Pratik and Devang. Therefore, the duo’s main task was to devise ways to fulfil these desires without compromising on comfort.
