Working closely with Advance Group of developers, the architects at OpenIdeas have unleashed a refreshingly new aesthetic sensibility at the Le Jardin show flat in Ahmedabad.

Providing potential flat buyers a good visual perspective of their future home through show flats is not a new phenomenon. These flats, which have been fully designed and fitted out, serve to highlight the quality, functionality and spaciousness of the internal unit a developer is offering a customer. But when an architectural firm is approached to design a mock flat — which would leave a benchmark — for a developer’s first project in a new city, it is a massive responsibility. The client here is real estate developers, Advance Group, and the architectural firm who was approached with this design brief was the Ahmedabad and Surat based multidisciplinary design studio Open Ideas. Headed by architects Monarch Champaneri, Nilesh Patel and Niralee Champaneri, the firm is well-known for its innovative, intelligent and progressive design solutions.

“They wanted to infuse a new aesthetic sensibility in the real estate market of Ahmedabad, and that was the only brief,” says Niralee. “We were given a free hand in designing the interior of the show apartment, but were asked to follow a simple motto — elegant and lively liveable spaces.”

The Le Jardin project comprises premium, self-contained 3- and 4-BHK cocoons meticulously planned with a plethora of world-class amenities and surrounded by soothing and relaxing environs. Away from chaos and cacophony, it is strategically located in the most envied part of the city — Law Garden. What we feature in these pages is one of the 4BHK apartments out of the 156 flats offered here.
