Studio Lotus articulate the exclusivity of premium members-only club The Quorum in Gurgaon through a series of bold spatial narratives underpinned by nuanced and subtle luxury.

Is client involvement good for a project? Do user inputs regarding the smallest of details hamper the creative vision — or better it? While the jury may still be out on this matter, Studio Lotus’ experience while working on The Quorum, a highly transformative, members-only lifestyle destination in Gurgaon, has been very positive in this regard. “The biggest challenge we faced when designing The Quorum was also our biggest boon — the client’s involvement with the design process was intensive, and every little detail that went into making the space came about after multiple discussions and revisions. However, our collective aspiration for nothing short of perfection played a key role in how the project shaped up,” says Pankhuri Goel, Design Principal, Studio Lotus, who led the design of this project.

The core concept of The Quorum — or, succinctly, The Q — is simple: a cerebrally potent space positioned at the convergence of art, business, literature, music, tech, exploration and creativity, with areas for work, fitness, relaxation, social interaction, entertainment and gastronomical indulgence. It had to be the ‘third space’, after the home and workspace, combining a sense of comfort and familiarity of the former and the cerebral invigoration and aspiration of the latter.
