I remember my first taste of manifesting what I truly desired. I had been working as a homeopath in a partnership set-up, seeing my patients for more than a decade. However, my situation nosedived, and I urgently sought a new clinic. Earlier, I had read how Louise Hay cured her cancer using affirmations. I applied the same to my situation and found the most conveniently located and well-lit clinic. It housed a large waiting room and clean washrooms. The staff was very courteous and the rent was reasonable. It was the perfect clinic! I was even more grateful since I was the sole boss.
However, affirmations stopped working for me, and the manifestation process came to a grinding halt. I concluded that I needed to walk, talk, eat, and sleep affirmations without respite, for affirmations to work. This was discouraging, and I lost faith in affirmations. I was plagued with many questions. How come I manifested my clinic so perfectly the first time? Was it just a fluke or a one-time phenomenon that we call a 'miracle'? Why did the same process stop working thereafter? What was I doing wrong? What were the missing links?
Manifestation entails using our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs to bring something into our physical reality. So, on a logical level, it means creating something we desire, out of thin air. Vandana Jhangiani, a writer, blogger, and poet explained, "The scientific or logical way of looking at manifestation is that Consciousness is present in every atom of the Universe. So, when we try to connect with it by sitting in silence and invoking its presence, it complies and manifests itself in various ways, which, for lack of a better word, we call 'miracles."
