Silvia Noble, Owner Of The Lost And Found Department Homewares Stores, Is A Connoisseur Of Old And New.

Treasure Trove

SILVIA NOBLE has a penchant for beautiful things. A self-confessed homewares aficionado, she’s spent hours trawling through flea markets and scouring auctions collecting an assortment of unique vintage pieces to fill her home with character. Up until seven years ago, it was little more than a personal hobby as she was working full-time managing a Sydney department store. “I was there for three years, then one day I looked at myself in the mirror and tried to work out why I had studied a Bachelor in Visual Arts to end up in a suit and heels,” she recalls.

With a growing collection of gorgeous treasures from another time, Silvia dreamed of opening up her own store, combining her pre-loved items with new, purposefully sourced pieces. “I kept having issues with [store] sites falling through, so I ended up getting started in markets,” she explains. Every week for two years, Silvia and a friend would set up shop at The Beaches Market in Warriewood on Sydney’s northern beaches – her local community.

Deck the DOORS

The front door is our favourite place to make a festive first impression, and it doesn't have to involve a traditional wreath. From fragrant foliage and whimsical florals to ribbons, bells and pine cones, there are countless ways to deck your doorway in seasonal style. It might even be the perfect time to adorn your door with a fresh coat of paint. Here, we've matched Wattyl's most beautiful hues with decorative touches to ring in the holidays in style – and keep the cheer shining long after the season ends.
