Based on Caliber CH 29-535 PS, which was launched in 2009, the new movement features a traditional chronograph architecture with a column-wheel control and horizontal wheel clutch.

High-speed

Shortly after the doors of Watches & Wonders had closed, Patek Philippe created another stir with the release of the 1/10th Second Monopusher Chronograph (Ref. 5470P-001) with a 41-mm platinum case and a new high-frequency movement that comes with no fewer than 31 patents, of which seven are exclusive to this watch. Furthermore, the manually wound CH 29-535 PS 1/10 features two separate chronograph mechanisms and sweep hands. As the name indicates, this advanced chronograph model has a single pusher at 2 o'clock that successively executes the start, stop and reset operations.

This model follows the maison's earlier Gregorian Annual Calendar and the Tonda Hijri Perpetual Calendar, or Muslim calendar, a feat of miniaturization that was awarded the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in the Innovation category in 2020.
