Anyone who has visited Spain will know that its citizens are a passionate bunch. Passionate about their art, football, their food (oh my god the food!), and, of course, their wine. I have been to Spain as a backpacker when I was 19 and then numerous times in the last six years, scoping out the wine and restaurant scenes in the cities and, of course, visiting their wine regions. Each time, I come back even more in awe.

Spain is one of the largest producers of wine in the world, with world famous regions like Rioja, Ribero Del Duero and Priorat. The country is big and its wine production is diverse. It has more land under vine that any other part of the world.

Spain produces everything, from your everyday inexpensive to mind-bending fine wines to die for. The wines are made in all manners and styles and if you were under the impression that Spain is popular for only red wine or just ‘ok’ wines, it's time you changed that view.
