In conversation with the very talented, Bina Punjani – a hair expert with distinctive hair dressing as her forte!

She always wants to push the bar, work hard and is not easily content. She is determined and focused and that’s what makes her so successful! She has created a name for herself and is adamant on being non-complacent. This attitude is what motivates her to be better than the rest in her field of work. Having won numerous accolades Bina Punjani has worked for London Fashion Week and British television and has also been a technical head for three years for the biggest salon chain in North India. She is the proud owner of her own salon chain in Goa, Bina Punjani Hair Studio and also the founder and owner of Bina Punjani Academy.

Let’s get to know this perseverant hair stylist a little better…

What inspired you to become a professional hair stylist?

It wasn't really planned – I was sure of what I didn't want to do – a conventional job or an MBA. I wanted to do something creative, and I do have a need to have constant variety. A very good friend (and now my brother-in-law) suggested that hairdressing would be the perfect profession for 'restless young Bina'. The rest, as they say, is history!
