Ode to Awkward

I went ice skating with a bunch of friends. My BFF and I were joking around, doing a dance routine together even though we’re not the best skaters. Suddenly I looked down and realized the hooks on my skate got locked up with her laces…and we were totally knotted together. The guy working there had to come untangle us. —SIMONE P.

I was on a run and saw a cute guy I knew from school coming toward me. I worked up the courage to say hi. I was so focused on him, I tripped and tumbled right into him. We both got up quickly and laughed it off, but I was so embarrassed.—MAKARA K.
