The Year In Review: 2017

The government has made numerous bold policy initiatives across various industry sectors, this year, such as the National Health Policy, National Policy on Marine Fisheries, National Steel Policies and many others, to further the long term goals of the nation. However, for the business and trading community, the key focus has been on dealing with the aftermath of the demonetisation reform along with the implementation of the tax reform. Most of these monetary and economic reforms have garnered their share of supporters and detractors within the apparel and textile community. We consider these monumental policy initiatives along with a key selection to assess how this past year has impacted the industry and what more can be expected in the coming period.
