When Shona was moved to a specialist unit in Leeds, devoted David was still determined to visit every day.

Though his wife – who was shot in December – has been out of a coma for a while now, she no longer recognises him, and David has been warned it could take up to a year to see an improvement. But David has vowed to see Shona daily, no matter what.
