The one-off drama features Narcos star Boyd Holbrook as a Philadelphia cop who becomes obsessed with a series of murders that defies all logical explanation.

The action begins in 1988 when ambitious police officer Thomas Lockhart (Holbrook) is desperate to get a career break as a detective. Keen to get noticed, he starts tracking an elusive serial killer who mysteriously resurfaces every nine years and whose crimes appear to be timed to the lunar cycle.

But as Thomas struggles to work out why seemingly random people are being murdered with no motive, his investigation becomes an obsession that threatens his career, his family and even his sanity.
