NEW AWARDS

BAFTA TV Awards

Sunday, 6pm, BBC1

Richard Ayoade makes it a hat-trick of hosting the BAFTA TV Awards this Sunday as he presents the event for the third year running from the Royal Festival Hall in London - the first time that the event has been fully in-person since 2019.

Leading the field is C4 drama It's a Sin, which has picked up a nomination for Mini-series as well as acting nods for Olly Alexander, Lydia West and other members of the cast.

Other shows with multiple nominations include Sky Atlantic's true-crime drama Landscapers, BBC1 prison drama Time and C4 sitcom We Are Lady Parts, which follows the trials of an all-female Muslim punk band.

Once again, members of the public have been voting for the Must-See Moment of the year, based on a shortlist of six, which celebrates the most hilarious, heart-warming and downright shocking scenes on screen over the past 12 months.

Here, we recall those highly memorable moments...

AN AUDIENCE WITH ADELE

Adele is reunited with her teacher

International megastar Adele gave powerhouse vocals in her entertainment special, but it wasn't just the songs that left viewers lost for words. After audience member Dame Emma Thompson asked about her inspirations, Adele mentioned her high-school English teacher Ms McDonald - before learning that Ms McDonald was there in the room. The reunion brought Adele to tears, so much so that she asked her friend Alan Carr to fill in while she got her make-up fixed - which he did with an unforgettable rendition of Make You Feel My Love.
