This week, ITV’s three-part drama Tina and Bobby provides some answers when it traces the footballer’s 28-year relationship with wife Tina – from when they met as teenagers in the late 1950s, through their heady days as a ‘golden’ couple of the 1960s, to their marriage breakup in the 1980s.

Based on Tina Moore’s 2005 memoir Bobby Moore: By the Person Who Knew Him Best, the series stars Grantchester’s Lorne MacFadyen as Bobby, and former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan as Tina.
