The Mukteshwar Mahadev temple (also known as Mukesaran Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is located at a distance of about 20 kms from Pathankot City in Shaupur Kandi at Doongh village, in the Indian state of Punjab. This temple is situated atop a rocky Hill on the Banks of the River Ravi. The view of the Ravi river along with historical temple on the rocky Hill is enchanting. It is believed that this temple was built by the Pancha Pandavas (of the Epic Mahabharata) during the Dwapara Yuga. There are also several caves on the Hill. The caves and the temple have been carved on the Hill by the Pancha Pandavas, more than 5000 years ago!
