Lancashire Life
|June 2018

LYTHAM GREEN AND ST ANNES BEACH
Soak up the sea air in Lytham and choose to have a picnic on the beach or green. With wonderful views out over the coast, you will have a picture perfect spot to enjoy lunch – just be careful to not get sand in your butties. You can even rent a beach hut if you’re looking to spend the whole day revelling in the sunshine. East Beach/ South Promenade, Lytham Saint Annes, FY8 5EU/FY8 1LZ
MUNCASTER CASTLE
Ruskin named the view across Muncaster’s gardens to the fells beyond as the ‘Gateway to Paradise’ – so there is no better place to enjoy a picnic. The grounds of this historic castle, which is still a lived in family home, are a great place to explore with the family. This summer there is also Picnic Cinema (August 10-11), where you can enjoy two classic films on the big screen on the castle’s front lawn. Take your own picnic or tuck in at the Castle Café.
