I’m back travelling the world doing a show on… the History of Beer.

When I did my TV series - Dom Joy’s Happy Hour, I presumed that I would never get to do a more enjoyable show. In that series, I travelled the world with an old friend “investigating cultural attitudes towards alcohol” (that’s what the SKY lawyers insisted we call it anyway). Basically, I went on an enormous bar crawl around the world to discover such journalistic nuggets as that the Australians drink a lot of beer and that every place in the world has an almost undrinkable local spirit that locals claim to have aphrodisiacal qualities.
I tried to organise a piss-up in the Pilsner Brewery by posting flyers around Pilsen saying “piss-up, Brewery, tonight.” Nobody showed.
